10th Annual Monarch Party

Join us as we celebrate a decade of monarch magic at Nahant Marsh! Our 10th Annual Monarch Release Party invites families, nature lovers, and curious minds of all ages to take part in an unforgettable experience—helping tag and release monarch butterflies as they begin their incredible journey to Mexico.

 What to Expect:

 Tag and release monarch butterflies (first come, first served)
 Catch wild monarchs in the prairie to be tagged
 Enjoy family-friendly activities and nature crafts
 Indulge in goods from the bake sale
 Learn about monarchs, bees, and other essential pollinators from local experts
 Pick up merch specially designed for the event

The monarchs we’ll be tagging have been lovingly raised from eggs by dedicated community volunteers. You’ll also have a chance to explore the trails and search for wild monarchs to contribute to real scientific tracking efforts.

This event is free and open to the public—no registration required.
